See this cute girl? She lives in an awesome place and is lucky enough to go to a school that teaches her about our beautiful country. They also teach her that we live in "one nation under God" as they pledge allegiance.
The 3rd grade put on an amazing Patriotic Program at the end of the school year. I love to see children and adults alike that recognize where we live and the cost that comes with our freedom. That can never be taken for granted. Tears filled my eyes as the veterans that fought for our freedom stood for a brief moment of acknowledgement. How much we owe them!
Thanks, Mrs. Zaccardi, for taking the time to remind us of the things that we so often forget. We are free. Thank you also for your love of teaching and for the interest you take in each and every child. Your love shows and the children excel because of it.
Maddie, thanks for all that you teach me each day. I am one proud mom!
