New Years Eve 2013!

We had one more amazing day during our Christmas Break. It happened to be on New Year's Eve.
The girls got iFly, iRock and Flowrider passes for Christmas.  Troy and I split a pass too.  Why not do it all in one day?  First stop, iFly.

They are all certified flyers.

Now for the rock.

Random weirdness.  We could pretend that we were amazed with Troy's climbing ability but...the girls climbed higher than both of us (multiple times).  Not a good sign.

Blisters were formed.

Smiles were had (not to mention a few wed-gees - it's all a part of the sport).

Exhaustion couldn't last long as the waves were waiting.

Apparently, closing your eyes is a big part of body surfing.  Blind people could do this!

Then we hurried home for our annual dinner.  The girls open their restaurant and the adults get first class service.  This year, we dined at Los Chicos...fine Italian Cuisine.

Luigi, Mario, Pepe and Le Pu served us.

The little ones got to order downstairs.   The bell was the indication that they needed service.  Needless to say, they LOVED the bell.

Chocolate fondue for dessert.

A parting gift.

The countdown.

Chaos and LOTS of noise.

Happy New Year!  Bring it, 2014!

Colored Glass

Aeva painted these for hours.

And LOVED it.

Thanks, Aunt Autumn!

A Sugary Dream Come True

The girls have always wanted a cotton candy maker. Their female parental advisor has always refused to buy one. Who needs a bunch of sugar floating around in the air? Doesn't that classify as dust? The last thing I need is more dust.

Well, these smart girls of mine devised a plan.  They decided to pool their Christmas money from their beloved grandparents and buy one of these fantastic machines without any help from their loving mother.  For just $9/each this fabulous machine became a part of our collection.

Let the dusting begin.

A Winter Balloon

We awoke a few days ago to this landing in front of our house.  It sounded like a big dragon was breathing at our front door.

Are those people crazy?  It's COLD outside!  Still fun for me to watch from my WARM house.

Ski Day

The week between Christmas and New Years is one of my favorite times. Troy and I are both off work and there is no school in sight. We usually find some pretty awesome activities during that week. Here was one of my favorites. SKI DAY WITH DAD!

My sister and her kids came too.  Always fun to have the entire family back on the slopes.

Patrolman/Grandpa Ken was in charge of keeping us all safe.  Even Troy and I needed a little assistance as we decided to break out our snowboards.  We may be a little too old for that.  Standing on skis is much easier on the old body.

Aeva was also in charge of eating large amounts of snow whenever she fell/sat down.

A rare family photo.  In fact, you may be previewing your next years Christmas card if we don't get another family pic before then.

An amazing day with lots of smiles and laughs.  Can Christmas Break come again?  I'm not ready to go back to work.
