New Year's Eve 2015

Happy New Years to all! We had a fun and entertaining night with all these little chumps.  Aeva spent the afternoon prepping for her lat night by watching the original version of Annie.  We bought it a few months back so the girls could watch it.  I remember liking it when I was little.  She smiled through the whole thing.

The Williams showed up for dinner, treats and games.

Chocolate fountain has become a tradition on New Years.  No one seems to be getting sick of it yet.

Ms. Gracie has a hard time hitting her mouth.  This is also becoming a tradition.

At midnight we got out the fireworks.  Freezing cold, messy and lots of fun.

Time to start 2016.  Bring it!

Color Me Mine

Grandma Rett got each of the girls a Color Me Mine gift card for Christmas.
We picked a night and headed off for a night of "crafting".

After several hours of hard work, we had all completed our masterpieces.

The next week we picked them up!

I think we might all be future Picaso's.  I'm sure we'll go back again!  Thanks, Grandma, for an awesome gift, a fun night and great memories!

Pillowcase Sewing Class

All of Aeva's cousins got a sewing machine for Christmas. I called my friend, Zara, and she organized a sewing class in her home so the girls could learn how to use their machines.

The pillowcases turned out awesome and now Aeva thinks she needs to sew an entire sheet set.  That won't be happening.

Thanks, Zara, for a wonderful class and a beautiful pillowcase.  Aeva couldn't be more thrilled!

Gel Nails

The girls had some Christmas money that they weren't sure how to spend. Gracie decided she needed to have some gel nails.  Lucky for her, Aunt Holly just happens to do nails.  We gave her a call and within a few days, Gracie was all fancied up.

We soon found out the hazards of long nails when she was playing with Aeva.
Claw marks up the neck.

Aeva must not have been too traumatized because a few days later she got a set of her own nails.

Pink glitter...

With soccer balls.

Maddie was last but not least to give into the gel nail trend.

Silver glitter nails with...

Purple flowers.

Thanks, Aunt Holly for making their Christmas wishes come true.

Monopoly Day

This is one of the things that we love about Christmas Break...we finally have time to do all the extra things that we never have time for. Friends and games are some of our favorites!

Grandma Pearl

Grandma Pearl is awesome. She comes to Sunday dinner and hangs out with the clan. She always has a smile on her face and finds the humor in everything. So blessed to have her in our lives.

We're Famous

Troy and I decided to go to dinner before the Jazz game. We were seated next to Jeff Cassar, the Real Salt Lake soccer coach.  He was honored to be in our presence.  We took the opportunity to answer all of his soccer questions.  Troy and I are always full of advice.  Thanks, Jeff for a great night.  If you need any other suggestions on formations, strategy or negotiating contracts, just give us a call and we will see if we can work you into our schedule.

Post Christmas Feast

The girls got escorted to Olive Garden while Troy and I went to the Jazz game. Spoiled and cute! Thanks Grandma and Brandon for taking good care of them!

Christmas 2015

Love Christmas and all the traditions that come along with it.

Grandma Pearls Bingo Party.

The fun Christmas crafts from school.

My work party...well, board meeting.  Either way, I'll take it!

Troys new fantastic Stockton to Malone socks.

A drive through the lights.

And Christopher Pop-in-kins came back to spend the month with us.

Aeva turned him into her personal pen pal.

He moved around the house non stop so that he had a good view of all the happenings in the house.  He has to report back to Santa if the girls are being good.  So far, he has never had anything but good to report.

He even learned to ride a bike this year.

Bake day with Grandma Carole.

Visits from Santa.

Christmas Eve party.

Nasty jelly bean game.  Several flavors that I hope to never try again.

Opening of PJs.

Cookies, carrots and milk.  Carrots for the reindeer.

Aeva left a note explaining that Santa could have an extra cookie if he ate at least 2 carrots.

She also required his signature...for validation purposes.

A last look at the tree before everyone headed to bed.

Grandma Rett slept over for the night.  The girls love it!

We set up our camera and happened to catch someone leaving a few items under the tree.

Waking up Aeva!

Waiting for the fun to begin.

Parker got to call on Christmas day.  Everyone went over to see him.

He looked great!

Playing on the Hover Board.

One of the best gifts ever.  REUSABLE Coupon Book from Gracie and Aeva.

Brandon's favorite gift.

Love Christmas and all the love, family and giving that it brings.
So thankful for my Savior and what He means to me and my family.  So blessed.
