Gracie's soccer team headed down to Mesquite for the President's Cup. You wouldn't know it from the pictures...not one single pic with a soccer ball in it. We were too busy having an amazing time...how I miss being outside!
On our way to Mesquite we stopped to redeem Maddie's report card in doughnuts! Yep, one doughnut for every "A" up to 6. Had I brought the report cards for Gracie and Aeva, we would have had 18 total! Next time I will have to remember to bring them all. Then again, we should probably make a point of NEVER having 18 doughnuts at our disposal.
Snow Canyon was our next stop! Gracie can climb any rock as long as Maddie is there to give her a boost. Then I had to boost Maddie...good team work.
Jenny's Canyon. The first slot canyon my kids have been in. We need more of this!
We reached the back and had nowhere to go.
Then we headed for the lava tubes. Yep...lava! I told Gracie to hop in the hole. She is not impressed with our idea of climbing down into Middle Earth where the bats live. Maddie seems ok with the idea.
Now Gracie is deciding that this might be fun.
Now we have to get back out...
That night, we broke out the tennis rackets. Our talent and "form" tends to get lost in the winter months of Northern Utah.
Yep, missed that one.
At least we have fun looking like complete amateurs.
Found this lovely saying on my Grandmas (my mom's mom) fridge. Guess she didn't like her kids as much as I like mine...sorry mom.
Leave it to me to find shaved ice in the middle of winter. Scrumptious.
For our final act of indestructibility...we will eat crab legs until we die.
Followed by ice cream.
And fruit.
God bless America and all of the holidays that come with it!
