The local Sheep Dairy

Aeva's preschool class went on a field trip to a local sheep dairy. I had no idea sheep dairies even existed, much less one block from my house. I should really pay more attention.

The milking zone.

The orphan sheep.

The kids got to bottle feed it.  8 oz of milk gone in 15 seconds flat.

The huge guard dogs.  Apparently they are $750 to buy.  Good thing I don't need one of those.

At the end, we got to sample some sheep cheese curds.  I would compare them to mozarella...certainly not a strong cheese.  A fun day and very educational.  Who knew that sheep milk was good for you?  Heck, I'm not sure I even knew sheep made milk...probably shouldn't confess such stupidity.  If you only knew how little I know :).
