We decided we should spend our Fall Break in ... the Caribbean!
Troy got a new snorkel mast to try out. I was not a fan...
Red eye flight...efficient thinking by us parents.
Won't have to get a hotel and we will head straight to the ship!
Half way to Florida and Aeva is in zombie mode.
Crashing at the airport between shuttles. Maddie and I took this lovely opportunity to work on a Brine Shrimp Research Paper for her class...ugh!
Finally! We made it to the ship. The Carnival Magic!
Day 1: Day at Sea. First activity...water slide!
Jumbo Tron is in position over the pool!
First gourmet breakfast item - chocolate pancakes!
Dinners and dinners and more dinners.
We stole a few photos of our own while the photographers were snapping away.
Day 2: Cozumel, Mexico!
Bouncy House Water Slides!
Coconuts.
Turtles
Cards all night...every night. Scum is the favorite game of all!
Day 3: Belize
Cave Tubing!
Day 4: Isla Roatan, Honduras. Rain, rain and more rain.
Heading to the beach for some snorkeling!
They told us we couldn't swim past the rope in the water for snorkeling. Um, how are we supposed to see the fish on the reef? Oh, we have to take a boat. Of course. How much? Oh...millions of dollars. Hmm...that's ok. We will simply disobey the rules, swim under the rope and swim out to the reef on our own. Thanks!
After several hours of fun, we were "rescued" by Troy in a boat with a local native. They had come to tell us that we "couldn't snorkel where we were". What? We had no idea that we couldn't snorkel where the fish could actually be seen. In the end, we had to pretend to be thankful for their rescue efforts. So sad, snorkeling was over for the day.
The girls decided it was time for some braids.
We found a baby octopus.
Our tour guide, Hugo.
Monkeys
Black bees - no stingers!
Termite hill.
Ant trail.
Huge red ants.
Dragon Fruit
Apple Bananas - Scrumptious!
Gracie may not survive...late nights and early mornings are adding up.
Day 6: Day at Sea.
