Snowbasin Field Trip

Maddie's 4th grade class got to go to Snowbasin and ski for field trip. When I was little, our field trips consisted of going to the backyard of the school and looked at bugs. Fieldtrips are moving up in the world! Anyhoo, I had to work on the day they went. Maddie LOVED skiing with some of her friends. Lucky for me, there was someone else there to catch a couple of pictures.

As parents, there is nothing you want more for your kids than for them to have an awesome group of friends.  Mission accomplished!  These are some cute kids!

A talk with Aeva.

Aeva is known to randomly ask questions, start up conversations, etc. A few days later, she will continue with the same line of questioning or start discussing the same topic as though no time at all has passed. Lately she has been quite curious about Danny and Kati's baby that is due in May. Here are a few of the things she had Troy text to Kati... You may notice that the conversations started on January 26th and continued this evening as Troy was putting her to bed.

Maybe I am around Ms. Aeva too much but, I think this is pretty funny stuff.

My final Kindergartener

I have mixed feeling about this post. My litte Aeva got her Kindergarten packet in the mail last week.

This cute girl (my baby) has been my side kick for the last 4 1/2 years.  What am I supposed to do when she goes to school with her older sisters?  Keep in mind she is ecstatic about it.  It is also apparent, by Gracie in the background of the picture, that they are excited to have her come along with them.  They don't seem concerned at all that I will be home all by my little lonesome.  In the end, I guess I am glad that she is so excited to go.  If she wasn't, I would keep her home with me!

Large, medium and small

A new 7-11 opened up in Riverdale. They are advertising any size slurpee for $1. That is a HUGE thing for us Hauns. We love a good slurpee. They even have Crystal Light flavors that are sugar free so they have no guilt associated with them. Every time we happen to drive by we stop for this special deal. As my girls were walking out I noticed that they had each chosen a different size slurpee that correlated with their sizes. Check it out.

We have a large, medium and small.  How great is that?  I have some smart kids.  I have taught them to recognize the finer things in life.  Slurpees are pretty high up on that list.

Stylin

This is Aeva walking into Costco.

I think she may be taking after her big sister, Maddie.  She loves to have hats, purses and all things sparkly.  Not sure where they got it from...Troy and I don't run around in sparkles too much.  Maybe one day their style will rub off on us.
