Labor Day 2015

Troy loves a nice long day at the lake. Can't you tell by his expression?

Now the girls...they LOVE it!

Uncle Brandon got to come with us.  I think this was his first time on a paddle board.  I told him that he looked like Gru on Despicable Me.  Posture man!  Stand up straight!

Happy Labor Day, everyone.  Hope you spent it with the people you love!

Tests, Sorrow and Grief = Growth

Love this.

Trials have a purpose.
Embrace them and allow them to mold you into what Heavenly Father wants you to become.

Graceful Grace

Poor Gracie. We jinxed her with her name. She falls down more than the average bear.
These slippery rocks are hard to maneuver!

Good thing she has a big sister to help her up!

iRock

We finished our Groupon today!

They climbed.

and climbed

and climbed.  Mom...I was in charge of belaying everyone repeatedly.
That means again and again and again...
Good for the arms!

Bypass

My dad had a pretty big surgery 2 weeks ago.  Double bypass.

He "forgot" to notify his mom and sister that anything was happening but...his overzealous, overbearing daughter took care of that for him.
They were up at the hospital within hours of hearing the news.  Made dad smile.

They even signed his cute new pillow for him.

Day 2 he was up and walking to his new room.  He was annoyed at the cardiac rehab person for making him stop and check vitals when he was FINE.  She was slowing him down.  Dad does not like to be held up.  He has things to do and places to go.

New room.  His "fan hair" was cracking me up.  I love having a fan on too.  Must be a genetic thing.

He was obedient and stayed in bed for a full 48 hours.  When the doctor walked in and saw this...
he sent him home!  My dad knows how to wear panty hose with style.

Love me dad and the trooper that he is.  If you need a lesson on hard work and diligence (along with anything electrical, mechanical or automotive)...my dad is the man!

Thanks to all of the nurses, docs and family that fixed him up!  Can't wait to see him skiing over the waves and through the powder!
Love you, dad!  Thanks for sticking around...I have plenty to keep you busy for another 30 years!
