Troy's family has a trailer at Sweetwater Trailer Park up by Bear Lake. We spent the weekend there with his family.
We had lunch on the lawn with all the cousins.
Grandma Carole is always prepared with activities and crafts for the kids.
We swam in the lake.
Maddie and Gracie were impressed that they could hold Danny up all by themselves.
Cousin Jonah.
He kept burying Troy's leg with sand. He was quite excited about it.
The brave swimmers.
That night we went out for pizza and played on the toys.
And then, the main event (at least as far as we were concerned)....shakes! We even developed a cheer for the occasion..."Bear Lake, Raspberry Shake!" (repeat three times at the top of your lungs). I'm sure the cheerleading squads around the world would be impressed.
On our way home we went on the Limber Pine Trail to see the "Jesus" tree. Apparently it was supposed to be a tree that was around at the time that Jesus was on the earth. The younger kids thought we were actually going to meet Jesus. They kept asking where he was. Cute....and confused.
This tree is pretty cool. The kids are sitting on the "L" portion in the picture above. The sign said that the tree had been damaged and a branch had taken over as the main trunk. I think a large animal sat on it. You can choose which philosophy you want to believe.
A huge tree that had fallen down. Best playground ever.
We finally made it to the "Jesus" tree. The kids were less than impressed. The sign said the tree was about 600 years old. That doesn't exactly date back to the time of Jesus but we can pretend.
On the way home, we stopped at Merlin Olsen Park in Logan. This was the view from our blanket. Troy and I were married in the Logan Temple. Makes it a very special place for my family.
A great ending to a fantastic trip.
Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for a wonderful weekend!
