Pirate Math

We have neighbors that have twin boys Aeva's age. They are in the same Kindergarten class. She gets to play with them on Tuesdays before school. One of them must have a pirate eye patch because one day she randomly started insisting that I make her one.  Why not?

Next thing I new...the little pirate was doing her math.  Any chance this could strain her one good eye?  Funny kid.

Our Conference Puzzle

Troy and I got the kids a puzzle for Easter. We decided to put it together while we listened to conference. I think that is the best I have ever listened.  We might have a new tradition on our hands.

Grandma Carole is Retiring!

Grandma Carole has decided to retire this year! We are excited to have more grandma time and look forward to her enjoying her time "off."

I can't believe I didn't get a picture of her on the actual night of her party.

Aeva was pretty excited about her dessert.  She takes after her parents!

The Newgate Mall

Aeva and I ended up at the mall a few days ago. This play area is fantastic. It has been a while since Aeva was here. She still loves it.

She has to visit all of the animals.

And swim in the waterfall.

I found some picks of Gracie playing at the same place when she was almost two.  How do I get such cute kids?

Maddie is 3 1/2 in this one.  Gracie is 1.

My nephews that are now 13 and 17.  Yikes, how time flies!
Love those smiles.

The Exponential Decline of Parental Resistance

Maddie had to wait until she was 8 to get her ears pierced. Gracie was 6 at the time. Guess what, she got hers done just a few days later. Now, little Aeva, is 5. She decided it was time to get her ears pierced too.  Ok, sure.  Why not?
Sorry, Maddie, I guess my parental resistance goes down with each child. You were the only one that had to wait.

They gave her a teddy bear to hug and hold.  And then...

It was done.  So fast and only an "ouch."  No tears and lots of smiles.  She's so excited.

We got her back to school just in time.  These cute little statues were in the front walkway as we came into the school.  I told her they were probably there to tell her good job for being so brave.

Can't get any cuter.
